COVID-19 UPDATE IN THAILAND

Thailand’s infected patient cases are growing and the authorities have announced enhanced preventive measures by closing all schools, universities, entertainment outlets, sports events and activities with mass gathering. However, our member Eageles air&Sea  are still Business-As-Usual.

This is in addition to imposing restriction of entry to nationals from the list of Disease Infected Zones. More info at

Eagles have been formulating our Business Continuity Plan since February 2020 and have started taking stricter precautionary measures according to the severity of the situation.

Some of the measures (without elaborating on the details) taken up are:

  • Our 4 facilities have stopped accepting foreign visitors
  • Cancellation of all overseas travel nor attending seminars etc
  • All colleagues are to undergo body temperature screening daily
  • Sitting layout of our HQ canteen that houses about 200 staffs will stagger their lunch hour and seated facing the same direction with at least 1m distance away from the nearest colleague
  • Our office colleagues in each department are split into 2 teams working at different office location
  • Our warehouse colleagues are split into 2 shifts with detailed cleaning after each shift.
  • Our system is VPN enabled to allow access by our colleagues from home (in case of emergency)
  • In worst case scenario whereby any colleague is suspected to be a Covid19 patient, we already established our internal SOP and work can be carried out as usual, even if there is a 14 days quarantine imposed.
  • A disinfecting cleaning contractor has been contracted in our BCP and disinfecting done by MOH approved chemical by means of fogging and wiping.
  • In case of goods stored in our warehouse needs to be disinfected, all customers had been informed of the chemical compound and confirmed safe usage.

Needless to say, air freight capacity is dropping and rates are increasing. Ocean freight rates are increasing too but still available.

This is unfortunately, a critical time for the world to get their acts together and prevent further spread of the disease.

Stay safe, be socially responsible and hoping all to make good use of this time to fine tune & digitalize your work.
