China VAT Implementation - Update from SHENZHEN LINK FIRST GLOBAL LOGISTICS LIMITED

This is further to the implementation of VAT in China which take effect from 01 August 2013. Kindly take note that:
1 There will be a further adjustment of VAT between 0.78 – 0.84% making it ranges 6 to 6.84% as shown from the attached broadcast from respective carriers
2 MEARSK LINE & SAFMARINE announced that they will delay and absorb these VAT to 13 August giving grace period to shipper hence all invoices issued from 14 August are subject to VAT.
3 We have tabulated summaries carrier VAT tariff for your perusal with the hope that this allow you to understand the rate from the respective carriers.
Unfortunately the attached circular are primarily made in Chinese and we have tried to translate some of the information to the best of our ability.
